4Days, a management consulting company in the areas of strategy, organization, and digital innovation, came to life at the beginning of 2021.
The founders, Marco Lotti and Emilio Ziraldo answer some questions about the new company.
How did 4Days come to life?
The growth in size over the years and the need to develop different services and business models drove the creation of 4Days, the spin-off of Eupragma Ltd.
Regardless of the age and size of the company, we share a strong common experience and share a great sense of collaboration.
Why the name 4Days and the payoff "Less is More"?
We have consolidated the philosophy that we want to represent as a team.
We firmly believe that by simplifying superstructures, complexity, and giving up the superfluous, we increase the chances of success in complex projects, hence "Less is more". "4 Days" represents our ambition: simplicity, skills, focus on objectives, and the sense of things, allowing us to achieve the results of a working week not in 5 days, but 4.
We represent a value and not a simple way to save money: our fifth day is the starting point for any development idea.
What size will the company initially have?
In the first year, we expect a turnover of more than one million euros, with a workgroup of about 15 employees and a large portfolio of clients and orders. In the first 2 years, we also plan to enlarge the group of partners by inviting our network to the table.
Why do customers come to you?
We use this question internally to continuously focus on what matters to our current and potential clients.
Typically, clients come to us looking for a trusted partner who can help them improve overall performance: economic satisfaction, digital development, and innovation.
We work as much on the strategic phase as on the execution phase, guaranteeing alignment between both phases. We are aware of the fact that change comes from good ideas and good executions, considering men at the center of evolution.
Also, our clients value the seniority of our team both at a consulting and managerial level and the simple and direct style, based on the values of transparency, loyalty, and concreteness.
Within 4Days there is also a specialization in the AEC sector. What is it?
That's right; in this case, we have designed an innovation, not for a client but an entire market. Within 4Days, we developed Truspace (a BIM collaboration platform). It is based on the BIM methodology for the construction sector.
The project was born in response to the profound changes in this sector that impact the organizations, processes, and digital footprints of companies.
The work done so far has led important national and international clients to invest in our solutions.
On which markets will 4Days operate?
Our skills and methodological approach lead us to be transversal, working in fact with large, medium, and small companies in the private and public sectors.
To conclude, what are the key competencies of 4Days?
We are a group in which different but converging competencies in business management coexist. We typically originate competencies from management engineering, business economics, information technology, and digital sciences.
These are core competencies consolidated by various corporate roles such as General Management, Organizational Management, Management Control, Supply Chain Management, IT Management, Project Management, Application Development, and Financial Management.
Through strong collaborations and partnerships, we integrate complementary skills such as those in human resource development, legal, technology, and technical areas of the AEC industry.
Finally, three adjectives to describe your team (what is it like or how would you like it to be)?
Transparent, solid, smiling.
